Mayor - Albuquerque
Over 75 years ago, the American Legion Post 95 was established as a post for veterans of color and their community. Last weekend, we commemorated their anniversary and the members of the Post's active chapter who are dedicated to supporting veterans and their friends and families.

Governor - New Mexico
American Legion posts play an important role in supporting veterans, military families, and their communities. We are pleased to recognize the milestones and the continued dedication of local posts to serving those who have served our nation.

Most important is the courteous and helpful staff. Very comfortable atmosphere. Good place to relax and enjoy with friends/family. Food is tasty and very good selection of beers and liquors.
Eligible veterans who served during designated periods of military service may qualify for membership in The American Legion. Many local posts also welcome participation through related programs such as the Auxiliary and Sons of The American Legion. If you are unsure about eligibility, our post is happy to help guide you through the process.
Albuquerque Post 95 proudly supports veterans, military families, youth programs, community events, memorial ceremonies, charitable outreach, and volunteer efforts throughout the local area. We strive to create a welcoming place where service and community come together.
Not at all. Many of our community events, fundraisers, ceremonies, and family activities are open to the public. We encourage neighbors, friends, and supporters to attend and help strengthen our local community.
Local posts often assist veterans by connecting them with resources, benefits information, peer support, community programs, and fellow veterans who understand military service. We are committed to helping veterans feel supported, respected, and connected.
Joining your local post offers opportunities for camaraderie, continued service, leadership, volunteerism, and community involvement. It’s a chance to build lasting friendships, honor military service, and make a positive impact locally while supporting fellow veterans and their families.
